On our first trip to India, we were looking for a place away from big cities were we could just rest for a few days. This small, family run hotel has a lovely pool under a palm grove, big lawns and adorable dogs. The owners are helpful and offer group activities that we enjoyed. The food is very good and the breakfasts exceptional.
There are things to improve: why are there are no price lists or menus anywhere, for wine, drinks and for extra services (laundry, etc)? Knowing what is on offer and its price would be helpful to guests. The food is served Downton Abbey style, dish by dish, which led everyone in our party to overeat, as one wants to try a bit of everything. It would be great to have a list of everything on offer that evening so that people could plan to eat what they wanted - and it would educate guests a bit about the wonderful Indian cooking on offer. The food was all delicious and the servers kind and helpful. Definitely explore the town of Deogarth - people there were sweet and welcoming.
